Alan Rossiter

Alan leads the strategic direction and long-term planning of Ireland’s electricity distribution system. In this role, he is responsible for shaping the network’s evolution to meet the demands of a decarbonised, decentralised, and digitalised energy system, and plays a central role in aligning ESB Networks’ strategic objectives with national and EU policies on housing, infrastructure, transport and climate targets. He works closely with stakeholders across government, industry, and communities to ensure the network supports economic growth and energy security.  A graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College Cork, he has over 25 years’ experience across ESB Networks in utility management, infrastructure planning, and regulatory engagement.
